The English Language Institute at the University of Florida is seeking
three full-time 9-month non-tenured lecturer positions. Appointments are renewable annually
upon successful review. Responsibilities include teaching up to 20 hours per week;
participate in testing, placement and orientation of students, including during
university breaks; provide leadership/mentoring to new instructors; attend curriculum meetings,
and activities. Must have an M.A. in TESL, SLA, Applied Linguistics or a related field.

Language assistants are
undergraduate or graduate University of Florida students who work with
the ELI's listening/speaking teachers to plan informal communicative
activities to reinforce the language objectives that are being taught
in the listening/speaking classes. LAs work with the students and also
accompany students on after-class and weekend social and cultural
activities in order to help them meet Americans and learn about US
